Gateway Arts Center’s Inaugural LUNCH and LEARN:

 The Oconee Chapter artists of the Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail  will present the intensive and painstaking process of turning quilts with special meaning into durable works of art that adorn many locations along the trail.

Laurel Horton, Quilt Historian has dedicated her career of over 30 years to researching quilts, quilting and quilters. She has traveled the US and abroad exploring traditions of locations and specific individuals from the present to centuries past.

Join us for an interesting journey from all ends of the spectrum; See the current show “Stories and Statements” in the gallery now and enjoy lunch which includes Ham and Cheese Quiche, Salads and Desserts with Sparkling Peach Punch or Sweet Tea

The proceeds benefit our Special Needs art program. Gateway currently hosts 24 very special guests from the Tribble Center for Disabled Adults for six classes per month at no cost to the students. Supplies are needed to keep our projects fresh  and engaging for the students.
